szr and i were discussing where we think hamels will go in our league - standard 12 team, both leagues, 5x5.

i think hamels goes in the second round, 3rd at the absolute latest. szr says 5th, which seems way too low.

thoughts?

One of my leagues drafted last night (12 team roto, but there are more stat categories...maybe 7x7) and Hamels went in the middle of the 4th round as the 8th pitcher off the board.

I don't know if that's a good representation of where he would go in other league, but there you go.

thanks. upon further reflection, i agree that 2nd round it too early for hamels.

Funny thing is I didn't even realize the question was a couple months old. I just had my first baseball draft of the season and popped in to see if anyone else had started things up yet.

I was Dr. Reachenstein's monster last night. I think I got "value" on maybe 3 guys of the first 11 rounds.
