Hey, background aside, how does this trade look?
First Place Team gets:
WR - Randy Moss
Last Place Team gets:
K - Janikowsi
QB - McNabb
WR - I. Bruce
This trade was vetoed by the commish in our league. How's it look to you?

I would have vetoed it as well.
Smells fishy to me.
Bruce has been worthless.
McNabb is coming on - but we don't know which McNabb will show up the rest of the year.
A kicker?
Nah, this trade smells bad.

I'm a commish and I am not sure I would have allowed it.
One teams gets depth at the expense of one star.
The timing is my issue. If the other team were middle of the pack and looking for depth to push and matchup, I could see it. A last place team? Always gotta wonder about their trades.

Looks like we did the right thing then. I wanted it vetoed as well and the Commish killed it. Now the traders are whining, so I felt like getting a second opinion from you guys.
I'm not one to point out idiot moves and ruin trades, but mid-season for a 10 TD WR going to the #1 team from the last place team...that's not cool. Thanks for the comments.

Never veto a trade unless you smell collusion. I don't see what's wrong with it.

Well, it's also a total points league (not head-to-head and not Roto). The guy in last place would need three fantastic weeks to get back into contention...and that's only if no one else was allowed to score in those weeks.
They're still bitching about it, but it's a BS trade.

There was a trade in my other FF league ... Pennington for Santana Moss. Straight up.
Between the first place guy and one of the midpackers. There are only 8 in the league, so about half the teams will make the playoffs.
Some of the other guys complained. I think it's reasonable. Santana Moss is hot and Pennington is heating up.

Sounds fair to me, uber.
In general, if you're the guy getting 2-for-1 or 3-for-1, you're the one getting screwed. Unless the trade actually helps you at all those positions, in which case you're already yelling from the bottom of a well.

Yeah it sounds fair to me, too. But there's one guy in the league that is totally flipping out about it. Like, calling me an asshole for voicing my opinion that it was a fair trade (even though my opinion was REQUESTED, as was everyone else's in the league) even though my team is in last place and is mathematically eliminated ... and tearing apart Australians in general and calling them all drunk, homosexual, cheaters just because ONE of the guys involved in the trade is from Australia.
Talk about drama. It's obnoxious. And it's not like there's a HUGE amount of money on the line. There are 8 of us and we all threw about $25 (actually 30,000 korean won ... most of these guys are in Korea right now). I dunno. If I won, I could probably take my girlfriend out to a nice dinner and then maybe out for a few drinks or something, but it's not like I was gonna put a down payment on a house with this money.
Finally I had to just say "dude, it's fucking fantasy football and MOST of us here think this is a fair trade. Chill out."
