Welcome to the 700 Level FFL

Week 5 Recap:

Stud Player(s) of the Week-
D. Culpepper 38 pts (Airborne Express gets their roll on!)

Dud Player of the Week- M. Vick -2 pts (The M. Vick experience couldn't break 200 yards and threw for 0 td's, 1 int and had 2 lost fumbles.) Honorable Mention -K Boller -5pts (his owner had the good sense to sit him)

A.W.O.T.W- LevelDwellers/BleedingHartLiberals (Even a stellar performance by Mcnair couldn't keep Johnson from going O-pher. Talon's team looking more and more like Kerry's chance for a presidential election-ZERO)

Get's one under their belt -LI Teas (champagne bottles pop as ENY's squad works off of the momentum of last weeks tie and get a victory over Bloodofgreen66.)

C.O.T.W- SkillzFromPhilly (Looking like the Patriots, he keeps on rolling with his best players on the bye, uses McCown(?), has no 3rd WR and no TE and still wins)

Coaching Blunders of the week- F-wood Brickhouses/BleedingHartLiberals (Hooky benches J Reed who has been in the top 5 kickers for the last 4 weeks running and loses by 2 pts because of it. Hey Hooky, Reed is a 2-1 FF pt leader over Kasay!! Do you even look at your roster? Talon insists on using Vick who sucks while having Ben Roethlisberger sit on the bench and throw his best game of the season. Doh!!)

Oh how the mighty have fallen-Ann Arbor Arrogance (Two ties and now a crushing loss after C Brown puts on a rushing clinic on the G.B Slackers.)

This week its Battle of the Four Horsemen as the top 4 teams meet head to head. Who will come out on top? Stay tuned.

Ohhh almost forgot....

Waiver Wire Gems of the Week-Bottom of the Barrel/Wafer Thin Confidence (Tatt goes out and picks up too premier WR and nearly pulls off the upset as most of his team is on the bye. Unfortunately for him Jerobi goes one better and picks up kicker J. Hall and seals the win for the week with the move.

Waiver Wire Pieces of Coal-Ann Arbor Arrogance (With the chance of getting one of several QB's GGB opts to get C Simms and most likely lost this week because of it.)

Thanks for noticing my Hall pickup.

In a rush to grab someone, I accidentally cut one of my kickers, not realizing it was the Non-bye-week one. So I look at my team at 5pm and realize I have no kickers going at all. In a last ditch effort, I check the wire hoping that one of the kickers on the remaining four teams to play this week
is available.

I found J. Hall.

Suddenly the chips are down and Tat is up on me by one point.

Hall's total FF points?

Four. Just enough for the W.

Back into the trash heap goes Hall!

Prediction of the week: I am going to completely thump the Airborn Express this week. I see a win by 35 points. Yes this is a BOLD statement but it needs to be done, I must show the trust in my revamped team. They will all score and if they don't (Pinky) they will be CUT!!!

You're old news GGB.
You have to go now and talk smack somewhere else...
I for one have a gameplan to prepare for the "little hulkamaniacs out there".
And I'm sure the rest of my fellow top 4 managers have similar things to look into...

We do not have time to listen to your empty threats.

Welcome to the 700 Level FFL

Week 6 Recap:

Stud Player(s) of the Week-
D. Culpepper 34 pts (Deja Vu)

Dud Player of the Week- D Mcnabb 2 pts (Suprisingly the team that has won by double digits had a poor performance by their leader statistically and cost Skillz the first defeat of the year.)

A.W.O.T.W- F-Wood Brickhouses/UVA Cavaliers (The LI Teas are starting to look like a force after the tie and victory of previous weeks. They lay a 26 pt beatdown on Hooky's squad only to be outdone by FSU's 33 pt blowout of the crossed swords crew. Sorry DGB-couldn't resist.)

By the skin of their teeth-Ann Arbor Arrogance (Lots of threats and guarantees of victories only to barely beat a shorthanded bloodofgreen66)

C.O.T.W- Ubertarians (Wisely picked Leftwich in the beginning of the year as a back-up and has the good sense to use him againest a horrible KC defense sealing the win)

Coaching Blunders of the week- Bloodofgreen66/BleedingHartLiberals (BOG66 drops M. Vanderjagt for Dawson??? You could have dumped one of your scrub players and at least keep him on the bench. You don't dump him for nothing. At least get a trade considering a couple teams are hurting for kickers. Talon does a headscratcher move of sitting Westbrook againest a awful defense while playing Jackson who is below FF pts and going againest a good defense of TB.)Honorable mention- LI Teas -This was the perfect week to play McGahee, not to mention L.Henry sucks. You got the win but with Balt and NYJ on the horizon, I don't see him being effective in coming weeks.JMO

Waiver Wire Gems of the Week-TheHulksters/Ann Arbor Arrogance (For every person that snatched up Droughns in their FF or money leagues for nothing he is waiver wire gold. GGB gets one of the best kickers for nothing.)

Waiver Wire Pieces of Coal-Bloodofgreen66 (A Stecker couldn't even get a point or two to at least muster a tie. While there where at least 1-2 RB's still available.)

This week jerobi and TheHulk_NJ battle to see who can stay on top.

Well, that wasn't what I had intended to do, but it wouldn't have made a difference in the end result. The vast right wing conspiracy against the BleedinghartLiberals continues...

I still think I'm the sleeper in this whole thing. Managed to carve out a 3-1-2 record despite very little help from Ahman Green, Chad Johnson, and Trent Green. That shit's gonna change.

No offense but if I had to put my money on a darkhorse it would be Airborne. People forget he dominated last year with the exception of facing PennEagle in the finals.

...GGB it take a 2 pt win over a bottom feeder team to even stay in it. You got another week of sub 500 teams to feast on then reality sets in. You haven't played the big boys yet!!

I believe he did. He had a great team.

I am a dark horse candidate. I am almost in the points lead for crying out loud!!!! I have something like 150 more points than GGB's pathetic losers.

Hulk will find out what I'm about this week.

If we don't have the most brutally picked clean waiver wire in all of FF, I'd hate to see who does. I went to find something to replace Reche with. And there is absolutely nothing. Zilch.

It means that guys will actually have to start making viable trades and stop sandbagging players. What good is having one guy score a lot of points for you if the rest of your team sucks?

I'm in a league with 16 teams + we all have 6 defensive spots (2 DL, 2 DB, 2 either).

Some guy dumped unproductive defensive players and scooped up RBs, WRs and TEs. You can see the tumbleweeds blow by on our waiver wire.

Are you ready to trade for Roy Williams now?>??

uber, are your D guys that worthless?

Oddly enough, I've found that those individual D players can end up being more important than many people think. I always join at least one hyper-extended roster league to keep things interesting. Most people tend to stop monitoring their D players after a few weeks into the season, but keeping up on the tackle leaders can really pay off.

Told you I should be mentioned in the "contendahs" conversation.

You can't discount a guy that is 2nd in the league in scoring.

DGBs are on a mission.
