Quote(s) of the week:
"You know, if McGahee and Morton continue to contribute, I may have stumbled my way onto a decent squad..." -EagleNY (4-3-1)
"They won't. You haven't." -GlennGoBlue (5-1-2)
If the playoffs started today, you two would be facing off. I'd put my money on the Teas if that were the case.
"What? Houston? Aww, Hulk if you benched Baltimores D in place of Houston's you are definitely gonna lose!"- TheTalon at tailgate.
TheHulksters vs 60 Final
BleedinghartLiberals 42
Baltimore Defense-5 pts
Houston- 18 pts

The "loudmouthed pompous ass" has both his main running backs on a bye this week. Yet another draft day blunder. And the waiver wire is brutal. Thank heavens for Lee Suggs.

GGB stole one this week - enjoy it. Plummer put on a 499yd circus performance, but even my 70+ points wasn't enough against GGB's barrage. Twelve freaking TDs - including one for his defense. No mas...

Usually when I come here and run my mouth, I lose that week. So I fully expect to be the first win for bleeding heart liberals.
But I must declare that I have now overtaken the almighty Skillz for most points.
Now if I can just stop the L-W-L-W-L-W-L-W streak and put some W's together.

OK it took me a while to figure it out BUT A. Vinatieri got me 24 point last night...he actuall threw a TD...didn' think about it at the time, and didn't even know he would get credit for it...of course the bone head move of the week I go and reach for a WR and bench Lee Evans and he got 9 points...So going into tonight I'm down 31 points and all I've got left is P.Manning and Marcus Robinson... cross your fingers Hulk cause I may get over 500 for the first time this year...

I was wondering what the asterisk was for. I guess they don't expect a kicker to throw to a LB for a touchdown. How do they even score that? Good luck on tonight, it should be a good game and a close race for the win.

Well, I got whacked on my Multi-RB bye week. Had to think that was gonna happen. But the bye weeks are gone and I am ready to make my run at The Hulksters.

This time ALL the points were tallied. Every point counted, and no players were refused the right to participate because of their ethnic background.
The Bleedinghartliberals come out on top with a substantial win, a victory not only for TheTalon but for society as a whole.

I should get "Bird Fan of the week" or some shit...
I refused to play both Hines Ward and Pitt Def this week and it ended up costing me the week.
Just didn't want to be secretly rooting for those guys. But in hinesight...I think by the forth quarter I was actually laughing at how rotten it was going for the Eagles...so it probably wouldn't matter.
oh well.

Welcome to the 700 Level FFL
Week 8 Recap:
Stud Player(s) of the Week-
P Manning 30 pts (Peyton throws up 4 TD's/268 yds/20 yd rushing and no INT's, almost gets the win for Tattoo.) Honorable mentions-D Brees 29 pts, J Plummer 28 pts, M Pittman 25 pts, A Vinateri 24* (kicker throws for a TD)
Dud Player of the Week- V. Testaverde -4 pts (Pop-pop caused the win streak of the Teas to come to a screeching halt.)Dishonorable mention-D Mcnabb 0 pts (No further commentary needed on that one.)
A.W.O.T.W-Bloodofgreen66 (I don't think there has been a 60 pts thrashing in league history.)
Dishonorable mentions-Philadelphia Eagles/Dallas Cowboys (both teams throwing up a set of 3's like gang signs.)
)
"Moral Victory" -BleedingHartLiberals (Talon was able to get a victory for his team and the Left wingers everywhere againest the "Red" state of Virginia. Unfortunately its a little too late for both Kerry and his chances of a playoff run.)
C.O.T.W- F-wood Brickhouses (After many coaching blunders and mishaps the Brickhouses are riding high on a two game win streak hoping to make it to .500 ball)
Coaching Blunders of the week- BiSC's Shipbuilders(Sitting Hines Ward and Pitt D for the love of his birds, but who knew they would score big?) Honorable mention-Bottomof theBarrel (Sitting Lee Evans cost Tattoo the distinction of being only the second person to hand TheHulksters a definitive loss.)
Waiver Wire Gems of the Week- T. Wheatley 14pts (TheHulksters helped out Skillz big time by giving dropping him off his roster to make room for a wide reciever since Moss was hurt. Helping SkillzofPhilly edge out TheHulksters for first place by one point)
Waiver Wire Pieces of Coal-C Bradford (This pick-up gets zero points as TheHulksters sat Armstrong in his place and he get 4pts possibly helping them stay number and forcing the release of Wheatley to make room on the roster)

I think Skillz lights it up b/c the Eagles are going to light up the Cowgirls on MNF, and as the Eagles go, so goes Skillz.

Honestly, I think you are right DGB. I have no Moss, my TE and RB are on byes and a bunch of scrub WR's on my roster. My only hope is Baltimore's D and special teams pull another out of the fire like I did in the week I beat you. I just got a lot of bad match-ups in the week I needed them the least. But no excuses, I'm not going down without a fight!!!!
