Week 14- Round 1 Playoff Recap
Stud Player(s) of the Week-
D Bennett 29 pts (Looking like the #1 seed might be bounced by the LI Teas, Bennett helps to pull Skillz feet from the fire in a MNF shootout)
Honorable mention- T Duckett 27 pts (4 TD helped Tattoo accomplish one of FF greatest upsets ever.)
Dud Player of the Week- T Owens 0 pts (Zero td's, a fumble and no tights for FB this week)
Dishonorable Mention-J Plummer 0 points (the bearded QB who is playing in the shadow of Elways shows his fans and owner who is #1 with his one finger salute and horrible production this week.)
A.W.O.T.W- Ubertarians (Uber makes it into the playoffs but doesn't have the high scoring big guns to contend with jerobi's team and the 34 point mercy kill in the first round.)
C.O.T.P-(Coach of the Playoffs) TBD at end of Championship Game.
Coaching Blunders of the week- Long Island IcedTeas (EagleNY doesn't play a defense for some odd reason leaving the slot empty and allows for Skillz to come back and defeat him.)
Dishonorable mention- TheHulksters (not to take away from a great coaching effort by Tattoo but Hulk makes the one tactical error all year that cost him the shot at a championship. After two straight weeks of Stover outkicking Kaeding from SD, he goes againest his instincts and plays Kaeding anyway losing by one point.
Waiver Wire Gems of the Week- Carolina D 21 pts (ENY makes a brilliant move by getting the hottest D playing right now but for some reason doesn't play them and loses because of it.)
Waiver Wire Pieces of Coal- S. Heiden 0 pts
(This was the week that Heiden needed 4 tds so the Ubertarians could have a chance)
"Upset Special!!"- On par with Villanova beating Georgetown and the Seattle Supersonics losing to the Nuggets, the team that TheHulksters feared the most did the impossible and won by one point over the #2 seed. Pictures of Tattoo on his bedroom floor holding his computer keyboard above his head a la Mutumbo can be seen in today's Daily News. TheHulksters with towel covering heads are still stunned after seeing Blaylock tip toe into the endzone for the score all but went to bed believing they had won the game only to have Gonzalez make one more catch to but him over the mark.
U.S #2- Ann Arbor Arrogance makes it to the Bracket 1 Championship game after the MNF shootout see's his no defense KC players run free all night long.
"Final Four"- The Bracket 1 Championship has Skillz versus GlennGoBlue, the Bracket 2 Championship has Tattoo versus jerobi to see will play in the 700 FF League Bowl game.

Wasn't I the higher seed in my game? How does that constitute "Upset Special"?

I guess he does have me by a wide margin in total points, however.

I was looking at the match-up in terms of total points and players on each team. But to be concise, yes you were the higher seed.

The irony of my loss to Tattoo is that I was so worried about Peyton throwing 6 Td's againest the Houston D, it was ultimately Ducketts performance that killed me. A nice piece of humble pie served with a big scoop of "ain't that a b*tch."

The biggest irony of your loss to Tattoo is that I was looking forward to kicking the shit out of your team on my own.
Tattoo, you owe me a shot of Rumple for denying me the opportunity, you bastige.

Keep dreaming. First off we were in two different brackets so the only one you were gonna see me was in the Bowl game and even then you weren't beating me. But now we'll never know. See you next year, chump.

Work on that draft pick, pal. We have playoff practice to worry about. And it's closed, so scram.

Wow, heading into last night it looked like there might be two upsets in the first round.
Time to shine up my scrub roster for round two. Plummer is such a hot/cold guy (0 points last week), and Gates has a major 2-game slump. Fantasy football rocks.
Good luck to ya, Tat.

In my Yahoo public league, that's my BENCH. And that's just part of the reason I enjoyed our deep 14-team league this year! The waiver wire means something.

Figures.
Week 16 and Plummer/Droughens decide to arise from the ashes just in time to laugh at me from my bench. Meanwhile, Volek starts his first posession with a pick and stays on par until the 4th quarter, when he's benched for DOUG JOHNSON.
Quality starts I made this week. AAA has a nice lead heading into Sunday with his Trent Green start. Nice pick.

Nice. The Arrogance prevails. I am so glad that of all the leagues I am in or have some sort of affiliation, the only one where I won the whole enchilada was the free one. Super. Good league, all, it was fun and I look forward to defending the title next year. Despite S736's claims to the contrary if he gets in.
Go ahead, Hulk, gnash those teeth and write me the glowing review I so clearly have earned...

Congrats GGB - great starts this week. After watching some of the games on Sunday, I'm actually suprised that the margin was as close as it was.
Here's to next year's FF madness!

Week 16-700 Bowl Game Recap and Final Awards
The final result are not in yet for the consolation games but the League Champion is "ANN ARBOR ARROGANCE". Congrats on a great year and win. While not being a Eagles fan and enduring much chiding from TheHulksters stayed on course and won the ultimate prize, Bowl game victory and yearlong bragging rights.
The award for C.O.T.P(Coach of the Playoffs)
Goes to Tattoo and his Bottomof theBarrel team. First upsetting the number 2 seed and then winning the 3rd place spot. Good show after being in the bottom tier for most of the year. Honorable mention goes to L.I Iced Teas for making the playoffs and having a good showing for their first year in the 700 FF League. Hope to see you all next year!!

i have a hard time accepting any coaching accolades, seeing as the coaching blunder kept me from pulling the upset of the year in Round 1.
Nonetheless, thanks Hulk for providing these year-long recaps. See y'all next year.

AE, takes a big cut, but he is usually worth it. I went over there this morning to the site to see who actually won, and I didn't even and actually don't know how I came in Third place... BUT I'll take it/.
