I am currently in my 8th year pursuing a BS in MIS with a minor in Physics and History (and hopefully later a certifiate in Electronic Music)

Uhm, thanks dad. I've been working in IT since I was 19 and attending classes (first engineering, now MIS) when I could while still trying to enjoy being young. Now I'm 5 classes away from my degree and have years of time in my industry.

Unfortunately I am not one of the peoples who have benefited from scholarships or mom & dad paying for a dorm while I went to school for 4 years. I don't think I would have done things differently (except I would have moved out earlier).

son, I am glad you provided for yourself and managed to get through school with the tough financial battles you have encountered. I had to do the same. I can understand it taking so long while you are employed full time if thats what you were doing. It seems that you are a very determined person. the purpose of the lot is for battles or all out verbal throwdowns. The "rhymes" you are referring to are called battle raps. Sooo if you think they are so moronic, then come up with something better or be quiet. Fulkster? Wow, you probably asked one of your grandkids for that one, didn't you?

In real life, battle rapping is done by two people, each rhyming derogatory (and sometimes bragging) comments to one another. Over the weekend they had a battle rap contest on MTV2. I liked the guys that tried to be more creative and didn't like the guys whos rhymes were on how small someone’s penis is or and especially hate rhymes that involve guns/violence.

Oh yeah, not only to have have to have decent delivery but your mind has to be quick. Most of the stuff said is thought up there on stage. Very impressive. It's like freestyling but with a purpose. Definately something that takes a clear, sharp mind and practice.

He had some monster stage fright and started rappin' after the courtesy 2 beat intro, there was 3 seconds off the clock by the time he snapped himself out of it. He also showed too much emotion while his opponet was doing his raps. I think you need to just stand there and not smile or whine or whatever.
