Just moved to Manhattan and looking for a bar to go that a lot of Philly fans go to when the Eagles are not on television.

There's supposed to be an Eagles bar opening in midtown west, but I don't have any more info about that at the moment.
There's a place on 23rd st and 3rd ave called the Grand Saloon that is typically pretty packed with midnight green. It's a good place to go with a group of people, as they'll put the Eagles game on in the big TV in the sitdown area. There are a couple of us who sit at the bar and they'll put the game on for us usually.

The downside to this place is that it's 8' by 10'

EG- 1) "SU" aint exactly new and 2) That wasn't confrontational at all.
You're a pansy if you feel otherwise.

The Grand Saloon is definitely the place to be. Uber will vouch for the wings, and I'll give my endorsement to the cajun catfish sandwich. They probably have some of the best "bar food" in town.
Of course, we've lucked out with so many national games this year. I wonder why we're suddenly getting to see doubleheaders when we were repeatedly screwed with only the Jets and Giants games last year for no apparent reason.
As for the mystery bar on the West Side...it was going to be Tony Luke's Sports Bar. I went into the sandwich shopp on 9th Ave. the other day and when I asked about it, they gave me the bad news. It was too expensive to pull off, so they shelved the idea.

There is a place called Wogies in the W Village on Greenwich Ave between Charles and Perry (btwn 6th and 7th Aves.). It is a cheesesteak place with a decent bar and booths, run by a guy from Conshy. Pretty small, but they have two TVs both Eagles, full sound, and everyone in the place is from Philly. I live on the UES and don't make it down there that often anymore, but its a good spot for the game.

I live on the UES
Have you ever been to a place called "Brother Jimmy's?" I heard there's a girl who works there named Taryn who was one of the first people I met when I first moved here a few years ago when she worked for a recruiting agency in midtown. She was really nice and I'd been hoping to run into her. If you know her, drop me a line.

There are three of them (Brother Jimmy's, that is). And I don't frequent them. They epitomize what you probably think about the UES. But they do hire nice young ladies.

don't know if hoboken is accessible to you, but it's a path train ride away. theres a bar called The Scotland Yard. it's actually well know throughout the area as Hudson County's home for Eagle fans. Located on Hudson St. near the hoboken path stop. if your interested their website is hobokeneagles.com, great crowd only bird games on and we keep the tradition strong.

St. Mark's Ale House, in the East Village (St. Mark's & 3rd Ave.). I've been going there for 4 years, and the real regulars have been going for up to 8. Definitely the best place to watch the game...plus great food and tons of Yuengling. Be sure to wear a jersey, the more obscure player the better. oh, and you've MUST be able to sing the fight song, despite your level of inebriation.
