I'll be playing all of you big hair classics at Shorty's, of course. I know Uber plans to be there, as well.
For those who don't know, they just renovated the entire place, and now the bar extends almost the entire way to the sidewalk. This allows for a lot more people, and in my opinion, it gives you a better view of multiple TVs. Of course, their bar was closed for a month during this renovation, so I don't know what kind of crowd to expect, but it's still an Eagles game at Shorty's, which is the only place to see them unless you want to have some stranger rubbing up against your ass after you pay a cover charge at Town Tavern. (You'd love it, NEAG.)
Anyway, I think Shorty's will be a definite improvement this year. He's added five new taps, and all the games will be in HD. There's one more TV on the way with at least another in the works, as well. Feel free to pester Evan about it.
BTW, if we get a decent crowd, we can play the Phils-Mets doubleheader, as well as the football games.
For those who don't know, Shorty's is on 9th Ave. between 42nd and 41st and serves the only legitimate cheesesteak east of the Jersey Shore and the only Roast Pork Italian in New York. If you're a lurker, come on out and say Hi. I'll be the guy cursing at Reid for wasting another timeout.
