One of 700 levels more tenured members- AE- used his VFW pull to rent out a VFW in Media PA., (Close to the city and ensuing celebration everyone is hopin for!).

This is being put together as a FAMILY FRIENDLY affair, that needs to be said off the top. Yeah, there will be plenty of booze, a keg etc, but also people are encouraged to bring their children and spouses. There are arcade games, shuffle board and darts there for kids to take advantage of, as well as just doin what kids do- make friends with other kids and walk away w/ a great memory of their parents or dad takin em to a super bowl party.

This is how we all became fans folks- started as a kid.


That said, it's only 200.00 to rent the hall (divided by however many adults is nothing), its 100% private, and there are plenty of TVs, there'll be a stereo to listen to Merrill Reese to should we chose etc.

Pot luck- everyone brings a dish, we have free use of the kitchen and will likely put all the food in those sterno trays and have a buffet set up for the entire day.

Still waiting to hear from many- but consider this an open invite to anyone who wants to gather for a REAL PALTRY SUM, with a ton of Eagle fans, meet new people perhaps and be close to the city.

If you use this site, or just read it, and have no tix to Jacksonville and would like to join us, use the contact us feature on the site and they will put you in touch with myself or AE.

AE has already booked the room, so we need only a headcount and then a contribution chain later in the week, so we dont have 30 trays of franks and beans and nuttin else to grub on.

Anyone who was considerin hangin at home with the family or just goin to a bar, consider this option as a better alternative where you can feel good about bringing your kids/wife with you.

All are welcome. Mrs. AE will contribute baked ziti or lasagne. She will be at home with the kids and will not make an appearance, though.

We will also have beer on tap as part of the festivities. Mixed drinks can be ordered from the bar through my tab. Bottled beer and other drafts - same system. I have to buy the drinks (state law, unless you're a member). Don't brink your own booze inside - again, the law. The prices are cheaper than the normal bar anyway.

There will be a list of who is to bring what via e mail starting this wk.

I know 1 thing the "736" family will be bringing is wings- medium so all can enjoy.

I'm working on what I'm bringing. Since Seth is bringing wings, I'll try something else. I'm not a bad meatball makers. Looking forward to meeting everyone. I'll be bringing my girlfriend, our friend Maria, and our friend Ted.

I'll sign up for my specialty - homemade mac n cheez. I made this once for a Buddy Bash and it seemed like it went fairly quickly.

For this party, I think a double batch is in order.

Will we have an oven available to cook this up?

Dunno. I think we'll have access to warmers. Not sure about baking and such.

Is there any way we could check on the availability of an oven? It would definitely change what I was hoping to bring.

My advice for PGB is to cook it ahead of time, add a SMIDGE extra milk to it so it reduces in the warming trays and doesnt stick to the pan and scortch.


I believe my Brother who was at the tailgate last wknd will be coming and bringin my nephew as well.

FYI, the place doesn't open until after 4 pm weekdays, so I'll find something out then.

The 2 TVs appear to be elevated.

I am going to bring my TV (aprox 27' could be 30?) from my den. I'll put this on a table for "level" viewing.

If anyone has a TV they think would provide a better view than the 27' one Im bringing, post that here, and by all means- bring it!

My kids & friends - like 14 seats sat in 724 in the Vet (Iwas 751).
I'm going to Jaxadelphia to watch the game but the boys might LOVE to hear aboutthis party. I was hoping this Tattoo was the same guy known as Tattoo in 724/5. He had his entire back covered by an Excellent rendition of the Eagle. Among the pictures we have in our collection of 724 memorabilia.
