Can we bring our own cups for the keg, AE? Or will we have to let the bartender pour it and then drink it in our own cups?

I have to drink out of my old Eagles mug. You know - superstitions and all.

DGB,
I don't think the bartender will care one bit. The keg is paid for regardless.

Couple things.

First, the projector (Tat) is a good idea. Gives a six foot by six foot screen. If done, we'd likely need a VCR with RCA cables. Very likely, the cable going to the TVs is through the antenna wire and not the RCA hookups. So, we'd need a VCR to take the antenna feed (cable) and give the RCA (colored wires) output for the projector.

Next, I have the highlights from the 1980 game and the entire Eagles 2004 season from the NFL network. Total play time is on or about 3 hours. Oddly, they never did the highlights of the Cincy game, but the other 15 regular season and playoff games are summarized in 10-12 minute clips.

Any other questions for the guy?

I have a couple reservations about all day screening events-

From Tailgate experience, and some of the guys can attest- it takes away from the mingling/party atmosphere a great deal.

Think about when we had the playstation at the gates- or hell, even the TV with the early games. People end up just sittin there and watchin.

I figured we'd party for a while and then when the REAL pregame started, tune in for that.

I am bringin the Stereo and tailgatin CDs.

Just my 2 cents.

Activities that require attention (cards, TV, games) kill the buzz and feel of a party. I know Dean O would back me here?

What you've brought to the table tho, AE, sounds like the rebirth of the once annual "Buddy Bash".
Food for thought.

If the projector can be used in addition to the 2 mounted 27 inch TVs, Im all for it.

I wont have to bring my TV from home.

AND I think I have a spare VCR if all we need it for is to hook stuff up.

Anyone have the cables he's talkin bout?

Seth:

Damn, I wish I could be at 2 places at once. The cables you need can be obtained fairly cheaply at any Radio Shack.

If you just need the RCA's you can borrow them from any component stereo system. IE: Tuner to Amp, CD Player to Amp, etc. Probably $5-$10.00 at Radio Shack.

First off, I have the cables needed. and secondly The Cable goes into the TV, video in the only wire needed goes from Video out to the Projector, Not a 100% certain BUT I am fairly certainthis acts like a splitter and does not take away from the 2nd TV...

AE, I think you should double check and see, make sure they won't mind us hooking stuff up to their TV's...

Tat,
Old folks are notorious techno-phobes. I think it's better to do it and beg for forgiveness or do it on teh spot. Trying to explin stuff over the phone is tough, considering the audience.

I AM IN!!!!!!!!

Don't need moms in law this week.. let me set stage...

Driving girls to school... wife is off to exotic island with girlfriends.... yeah right... but that ok because this is daddy and daughters week....

Girls have birthday party to attend on Sunday.. the family that scheduled that on Super bowl day should be shot... party 1:45-4:00.

So I ask girls what do you want to do.... do you want moms in law to come down and have daddy go to party? The wife ask this to be done so the girls don't get thrown off schedule for school... or do you want to go to the super bowl party...

the initial answer was silence... they don't like going against mom....

So after a couple of seconds.. I said I will have moms in law come down and I would go to the party..... 5 min later, Brooke the youngest and most fiesty said Daddy.. I think Courtney wants to go to the Superbowl party.... I said what about bath time and getting to bed on time....? another pause... then I said don't worry about it, Mommy is gone and we will do what we need to do....

For those who don't know me... this is historic.... the girls have never been to a eagles football event with me.... This will go down as a first and will undoubtedly be a lasting memory for me...

Courtney, to my surprise says.... Daddy we want to go tailgate with you...... Brooke says... we get to meet new friends....

Slowly build..... people... we only have ONE GAME!!!!!!

If we only have one.... we should go out and win it......

Yes Yes?

OH- AND I WILL BRING THE OTHER TAPE I FORGOT FOR THE VIKES GAME TO- for copy onto CD and DVD.

(Needless to say I will be hookin you up for these favors! Fear not!)

This projector you speak of... is there an adequate surface to project on? I don't need to be watching the Bowl projected onto wood paneling or stucco.

Also, I for one would like to watch some pregame stuff. I certainly won't be glued to the set all day but I'd prefer that option to having to speak over a blasting stereo.

Just my 2 cents.

Well... what do you consider REAL pregame coverage? Fox begins coverage at 2:00 and this gig starts at 3:00. No? I'd imagine ESPN will begin around the same time.
